Eligibility Criteria for Participation:
Students from Classes 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th

Rules for Gwalior Idea Contest & Science Exhibition:
-
There are total 8 sub-themes, out of which the School can send teams on maximum 5 sub-themes.
-
Total 5 Teams’ Entries are welcome from each school (1 team on each of the sub theme).
-
Each team can have minimum 1 and maximum 3 team member(s).
-
Each team has to prepare either a Presentation (which the team has to present before a panel of judges) or a Model (which the team has to exhibit in Science Exhibition) to present their idea.
-
Synopsis of the Idea (in case of Model) and PPT (power point presentation) (in case the team chooses to present their idea through a PPT) has to be submitted by the Schools by 17th January 2025, Friday.

Last date for submission of entries is 17th January 2025, Friday.

Additional Rules:
-
Each team who chooses to give a presentation to present their idea will be given 3 minutes time for their presentation on the day of Contest followed by Q & A round of 2 minutes.

Each Team who chooses to prepare model will have to showcase their model in Science Exhibition held at the venue.
-
No two teams from Same School can present their Idea on Same Sub-theme.

Submission Process:

Each team has to fill the Registration Form (For Students’ Teams) and submit it to their Guiding Teacher/School Coordinator from their School.

School Coordinator have to fill Google Form for School Registration indicating all the participating teams with their details.

VIGYANOTTARI
Science & Technology Quiz
Theme:
Science and Technology
Eligibility Criteria for Participation:
Students from Classes 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th are eligible to participate in this contest.
Syllabus for Aptitude Test and Quiz:
Science & Maths Syllabus of Respective Class, Indian Science Movement, Scientific Organisations in India
Rules:
-
The School can send one team of 3 students from each class (for example, 3 students forming 1 team from Class 8th, 3 students forming 1 team from Class 9th and so on. Thus, total 12 students from one school)
-
Teams will be shortlisted for the Quiz Competition through a Pen-Paper Aptitude Test of Multiple-Choice Questions. Note: Study material will be made available to the students beforehand on our website (www.gvmgwalior.com).

Qualified Teams from the Aptitude Test will be eligible to participate in the Quiz Competition, which will have 4 Rounds.

Teachers’ Symposium
Theme:
Best Practices in Science Teaching
Eligibility:
2 Coordinating Teachers (preferably Science Teachers) from each school who will be representing the School.
Pattern:

Coordinating Teachers from each school are required to make a presentation to present best practices in science teaching in their school.

Number of Slides per presentation: Maximum 20

Presentation Time: 5 minutes

Most Innovative Idea Award (to one school i.e. 2 Coordinating Teachers)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SCHOOLS

Winner and runner-up Schools (for School Shields) will be chosen on the basis of performance and total score of all the teams participating in both competitions (Abhyudaya and Vigyanottari).

There is a single Google Form for School Registration for both Competitions, which is to be submitted along with the submission of a Registration Fee of Rs. 500/- per School by 17th January 2025, Friday.

The School has to attend the competitions one out of the two days that is 20th January and 21th January, date will be informed to the School by the organizing committee beforehand.

School has to submit Willingness Form attached with this Booklet to confirm their participation by 17st January 2025, Friday. How willingness form has to be sent?
